Approaching the abandoned sawmill, I expected to find rusted saws and decaying equipment, surrendered to time. Instead, I stumbled upon a hidden trove of vintage cars: a Lincoln Continental, a Pontiac GTO, an Oldsmobile Rocket 88, and another classic, its roof partially caved in. What a heartbreaking sight. Stored here to shield them from Hurricane Katrina in 2005, these automotive treasures were never reclaimed, left to weather the years in silent neglect.
