Holy Cross
UPDATE: I recently visited the old Holy Cross School site to see how the redevelopment was progressing, and I was genuinely impressed! From what I could observe from the outside, the transformation into housing looks remarkable. The team behind this project has done an outstanding job revitalizing the property while preserving its unique character. Kudos to everyone involved for breathing new life into this historic landmark!
This is Holy Cross in the New Orleans area. I'm sharing this one because everyone already knows about it. It's in really bad shape & I don't recommend going in. The property, as you can see, is absolutely beautiful. ~ In 1849 the Congregation of the Holy Cross purchased what was once known as Reynes Farm and built St. Isidore’s College, later known as the Holy Cross School, as an all-boys school. The neighborhood soon took its name from the school. The original campus at 4950 Dauphine Street was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005, forcing the school to relocate... ~ Wikipedia
